Ambassador Seeks Closer Nigeria/Argentina Ties With NFA -

Gustavo Dzugala, the newly-appointed Ambassador of Argentina to Nigeria, on Thursday in Abuja solicited closer ties between Nigeria and Argentina in the area of football.
Dzugala, who made the call during a courtesy call on Aminu Maigari, the Chairman of Nigeria Football Association (NFA), specifically called for ties between both countries’ national teams and clubs.
According to a statement by Ademola Olajire, NFA’s Head of Media, the former Argentina Ambassador to Serbia also said both countries could do much more together in the football sector.
``Football is more than just a game. It is becoming a very potent political tool all over the world.
``Football makes the world go round beautifully, because it is the `beautiful game’.
``Our two countries can definitely explore more ways of collaboration and friendship in football, because both are very strong, powerful nations in the game,’’ the statement quoted Dzugala as saying.
It also quoted Maigari to have assured Dzugala that the NFA and the entire Nigerian football family were ready for collaboration in the development of the game in both countries.
``A former board member of the NFA, Chive Kaave, is the Ambassador of Nigeria to Argentina and we have also discussed several ways of further collaboration.
``With your coming, we will activate most of the possible areas and bring them to fruition,’’ Maigari said.
