CRISIS: Gov Amaechi Summons Emergency Governors Meeting

There is total impunity in the land, especially in Rivers State, where the Police is dealing with respected men and women as common criminals. And it is believed this act of intimidation will soon spread to other states.

Consequently, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, who is the Chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum,  NGF, as elected by majority of the governors, has summoned an emergency
meeting of the forum.
The meeting which holds on Wednesday will also tackle other important issues such as...
An opportunity for Gov. Amaechi to brief his fellow governors on the letter they wrote to President Goodluck Jonathan on the sharing of revenue accruing to the states from the Federation Account.

At their last meeting, which was held in Abuja on December 12, 2013, the governors said they were going to confront President Jonathan on the alleged refusal of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to remit $49.8bn to the Federation Account as revealed by CBN governors, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
The missing money has been brought down to bout $10billion and many are wondering how come such a huge sum will be missing and nothing was done until Sanusi raised the alarm.
The meeting would also deliberate on funding challenges at the state level, how to move the NGF forward and stop the charade by Gov Jonah Jang who lost in an election to Gov Amaechi
