I cut her neck with cutlass for sacking me' - houseboy who killed magistrate says

'

David Idah, the houseboy of  retired Chief Magistrate Funmilola Timeyin who killed her at her residence in Laderin Estate in Abeokuta on March 28th says he killed her because she sacked him.

Idah, in an interview with Punch, said he and his boss had a good relationship when he started working with her but they fell out when she started to complain about his attitude. Idah says he wasn't paid his salary and so stole two mobile phones, a DVD player, speakers, perfume, wrist watches, three trousers and four shirts belonging to her son in order to sell them, get money and leave.

She discovered he had stolen these items and invited the police who came in and was about to begin prosecution of the 21 year old Benue indigine when she (Justice Timeyin) pleaded with them to let him off the hook and even wrote a letter of withdrawal to the police. She said she did not want Idah tried but she sacked him and told him not return to work for her again. Continue...

A few days after he was released from police custody and angered by his sack, Idah went to the retired judge's house, scaled the fence, got hold of the cutlass he used for gardening and waited for her to step out of her house and then attacked her with the cutlass, cutting her three times on the neck. She screamed for help which attracted her neighbors and vigilante in the area who caught Idah in the bush behind the house where he had gone to hide and was trying to escape...
Sadly Justice Timeyin died before she could get to the hospital.
Idah was employed by the 65year olf retired chief Magistrate to help around her house since all her children had all grown up and left the house. Idah was yesterday arraigned before the magistrate, Anthony Araba, of the Magistrate Court 1 and pleaded guilty to one count charge of Murder

Girl shares pic evidence to prove she didn't know she was pregnant

20 year old Sophie Aldridge gave birth to her son in November 2013 and claims she didn't know she was pregnant until the day she gave birth because she didn't have a baby bump. When no one believed her, Sophie produced pictures she took during her pregnancy...and said if anyone had told her then that she was pregnant, she never would have believed it.
‘I know it might sound stupid to some people, but I had no idea I was pregnant. To give birth suddenly and without warning as I did was absolutely terrifying. I didn’t have any symptoms. I didn’t get morning sickness. I was wearing my usual size ten clothes. I had regular periods throughout the pregnancy, and I didn’t have any cravings.’ She tells Daily Mail
Pic on the left is Sophie in the first month of her pregnant. Center pic is Sophie at 4months and right pic is Sophie at five months. So hard to believe but continue to read her story...

From UK Daily Mail...
Left: Sophie at six months and right Sophie at seven months

As for Sophie not knowing she was pregnant, this is something that sparks defensiveness. Which is understandable, perhaps, when you consider that since her story appeared in the Daily Mail on Wednesday, she has been labelled a fantasist, a liar and even a benefits scrounger.

Sophie, a support worker for adults with autism, retorts:
‘People are saying I’m doing it for attention, and that Thomas is a burden to the taxpayer. But I was working full-time before my pregnancy, and I’m going back to work.
‘I really didn’t have a clue I was expecting. I’m not stupid. If I had missed a period or had had any sign at all, I would have gone straight to the doctor to have it checked out.’
Incredible as it seems, Sophie insists that her menstrual cycle was regular for the entire nine months - though experts question whether or not this is physically possible.
‘You can’t have periods during a pregnancyPregnancy hormones can cause regular bleeding during the first trimester, which can be mistaken for periods,’ says independent midwife Nikki Khan.
And light bleeding - spotting - can occur throughout the pregnancy.
'But there is normally a cause for this, such as cervical erosion or a low lying placenta, and it should always be checked out.’
So can anyone really carry a baby to full term and not have a clue about it?
Sophie pictured right at 8 months pregnant
A widely cited study published in the British Medical Journal in 2002 found that up to one in 600 mothers-to-be don’t realise they are pregnant until they give birth, or just before.

However, a large-scale Serbian study in 2010 put the number at as few as one in every 7,225 pregnancies.

Even Sophie herself admits: ‘No doctors have been able to explain it. They are baffled. To be honest, it’s all been a bit of a blur.’

Four months on, she hasn’t quite reconciled herself with her sudden and unexpected transition to motherhood. Still sleep deprived, her sentences are half-finished, her hot drinks half-drunk, and her attention distracted by the baby monitor at her side.
Strange to think that little over a year ago, Sophie was relishing the myriad freedoms of youth, with no plans to have children until she was ‘at least 30’.

In addition to a sleek physique, Sophie’s pictures capture this carefree spirit. At three months, she wears a pair of dungarees that flash her tiny 26-inch waist.
At five months, she’s in a skin-tight boob tube most non-pregnant women would struggle to get over their knees. At six months, she’s at a friend’s wedding, quaffing champagne.

Throughout, she was living - as she still does - with her parents in their spacious three-bedroom end-of-terrace in Dover, Kent, and far too preoccupied with her own life to entertain the thought of nurturing someone else’s.

Sophie is sketchy as to the father’s identity. When pushed, she admits he works at a local hotel, is two years her senior and went to her school.

They had been dating for around six weeks when she fell pregnant last February.
‘Normally, I would use contraception but you make mistakes when you’re young,’ she says.
She wasn’t taking the Pill, so when asked if the couple were using condoms; Sophie said
‘I was … most of the time. There was probably a one-off. I was stupid. I’ve been brought up to know what’s right and wrong - but people make mistakes. It’s just one of those things.’

They separated in May, for reasons which Sophie refuses to discuss. ‘There was no connection and it wasn’t working out,’ is all that she is prepared to say on the matter.
In the meantime, Sophie continued burning the candle at both ends - often juggling 12-hour days with her hectic social life.
With this, unfortunately, came drinking and smoking - both potentially damaging to an unborn child.
‘Of course I wish I hadn’t now,’ she says. ‘And, of course, I would never have done so had I known I was pregnant.
At an all-day festival in July, I got through a crate - that’s 24 bottles - of beer. I’d been smoking all day every day. I’d done none of the things pregnant women are supposed to do. ‘Of course, the first thing I worried when I found out I was in labour was that there would be something wrong with my baby.’

With good reason, given that foetal alcohol syndrome - damage to the feotus caused by excessive alcohol consumption - is one of the most prevalent intellectual disabilities in the Western World.

Miraculously, though, doctors say Thomas was not affected.
One theory put forward by sceptics is that Sophie was in deep denial over her pregnancy - and simply refused to face up to the truth.
She insists this wasn’t the case. It was just that she didn’t experience any of the normal signs of pregnancy.
‘My breasts didn’t change size, my periods remained regular, and I didn’t put on any weight. If I had had any suspicions, the first thing I would have done is to have got checked.’
Given that this baby was so obviously unplanned, would she have considered terminating the pregnancy had she had the opportunity? Again, she says no, saying simply: ‘I don’t brush off my responsibilities.’
When she started getting sporadic cramps at 3 am on November 13, she put them down to a stomach bug.
‘I couldn’t sleep and kept going back to the toilet,’ she says. ‘I thought maybe it was something I ate. Next day, I had to call in sick.’

Her mum, Sylvia, a 48-year-old carer, suggested she take some paracetamol and have a bath. It didn’t help.

At 6pm, Sylvia called the out-of-hours doctor service, 111. They told her to go to the chemist, where she picked up some Imodium. It didn’t work.
‘The cramps became more regular and got worse,’ says Sophie. ‘I was rolling around in pain.’
In despair, Sylvia took her daughter to Buckland Hospital in Dover at 10pm to see the on-call doctor.
‘He prodded my stomach and asked if I could be pregnant,’ says Sophie. ‘I said no. He said I had a stomach bug, gave me some painkillers and sent me home at 10.30 pm.’
By midnight, her pain was so bad that her mother called for an ambulance. The paramedics, who examined her stomach, drove her to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, Kent. Her dad Derek, a 47-year-old cleaner, followed behind in his car.

On the journey, Sophie’s waters broke and she had an all-consuming urge to empty her bowels.
That’s when her mother clicked. ‘I realised for the first time she must be pregnant,’ she says. ‘I was shocked, and my first thought was whether the baby was going to be born alive.’
The ambulance activated its sirens and speeded up to 90 mph. Sophie was rushed into Accident and Emergency - there was no time to go to the maternity ward - and gave birth 15 minutes later in an empty cubicle in the department.
‘Mum was telling me to push and Dad was squeezing my hand,’ she says. ‘Everything happened so quickly. I was panicked and confused.’
Midwives delivered her son at 1.35am and placed him on her chest.
‘I felt a bond straight away. As I looked into his eyes, I felt an overwhelming rush of love.
‘As terrified as I was by the speed of events, the moment I saw him I just couldn’t imagine my life without him.’
The next morning, her brother Andrew, 26, phoned Thomas’s dad.
‘He was as shocked as I was,’ reports Sophie. ‘He didn’t say sorry. He knew we were both to blame.
‘He came to see us in hospital. He’d bought vests and a teddy.’

Her boss - an understanding woman by the sounds of it - also visited them. ‘I’d only started my new job four weeks earlier, but she said I could take as much time off as I needed.’
By the time Sophie left hospital two days later, friends and family had clubbed together to buy her a cot, buggy, baby clothes and a Moses basket: ‘Until then, I didn’t have so much as a nappy to my name,’ she says.

Thomas was given his own room and the family attempted to restore a semblance of normality.

Beyonce's lil brother & his mum pictured on their way to a homeless shelter

Matthew Knowles' baby mama Alexandra is photographed with her son on their way to a homeless shelter today. The pics which were exclusively obtained by In Touch magazine shows the woman crying as her 3 year old son consoles her.

This woman is beginning to annoy me. So she can't give her child a home without a man or Beyonce? Is she for real? Can't she get a freaking job? There are women who are taking care of 3, 4 children by themselves...what is wrong with this one? Why is she doing this to her child? She got $12k a month for a while, she didn't save? Plus doesn't she have any family? Or she's just being manipulative?

Another 'ritualist den' found in Ogun State

Weeks after a ritualist den was discovered in Soka, Ibadan, another one has been discovered under a bridge close to the gate of a popular Cement Company along the Abeokuta Lagos Expressway.

A man from Ado-Ekiti Ekiti State who had lived as a mad man in the Iyana Egbado village in Ewekoro LGA of the state was seen carrying a nylon bag yesterday in a suspicious manner. Residents of the area decided to find out what was in his nylon and upon tearing it, it was discovered it contained decayed human intestine stained with blood. He was about to be lynched but was quickly saved and whisked away by men of the Ogun State Police command.

The suspect later took the police to his hideout where sliced pieces of human parts, plastic containers filled with human blood, ladies pants, brassiers, ladies and men shoes, blood stained dresses and duvet, knives, various non-functioning electronics parts & assorted soft drinks were found. Continue
He confessed that he operated with four other people including a woman who has been with the syndicate for 9 months and has been operating from the Ewekoro axis of town.

The State Police Force PRO, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident and said the state Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, has instructed the suspect be brought to the state Police Headquarters where a full-scaled investigation would be launched.

Dancehall artist Vybz Kartel sentenced to life in prison for murder

Jamaican dance hall star Adidja Azim Palmer popularly known as Vybz Kartel has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a former business associate named Clive "Lizard" Williams.

Jamaica's supreme court sentenced Kartel today April 3rd after a 58-day trial, said to be the longest in the history of Jamaica's Circuit court. The musician's 3 other associates, Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St. John were also sentenced to life in prison.

The four men are accused of killing Clive after inviting him to Kartel's home to discuss two missing illegal hand guns. Though a body has never been found, the key piece of evidence that nailed Vybz was a text message that he sent from his phone which claimed 'Clive had been chopped up into so many pieces his body would never be found."

Kartel will not be eligible for parole until he serves 35 years of his life sentence. His lawyers are planning to appeal his sentence. Meanwhile, Vybz has been in prison since 2011 after he was arrested for possession of marijuana, illegal possession of firearm and the murder of a Jamaican businessman, Barrington Burton. Though he was later found not guilty and was acquitted of the charge of murder of Burton, he remained in prison pending his second murder case which started in November 2013.

Did Al-Mustapha Beat Obasanjo In Prison? Here's What He Said

A lot have been said about the "wicked" activities of Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, Chief Security Officer to the late head of state Gen. Sani Abacha, with regard to cruel treatment to anyone against his Oga back then.

The man has finally broken his silence but is he saying the truth? He denied beating up ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo during his incarceration days in prison under the Abacha government. Al-Mustapha claimed he even helped Obasanjo with his personal upkeep at the various prisons, due to his position as a former military head of state and an elder statesman.
In his words: “I have never beaten Obasanjo and I never beat up anybody. Obasanjo lied on me and God will be the judge between me and him. When Obasanjo was arrested on charges of coup attempt, I was the one who gave N10,000 for the purchase of bed sheet, pillow sheet and brush...
“Also, when he was moved to Jos prison, I and governor Manah used to buy him food items from NASCO Company. All these assistances I rendered were due to his position as a former head of state and an elder person.”
Al-Mustapha said this while speaking on the BBC Hausa Service radio on Tuesday. He denied ever beating any one or standing on the way of somebody’s freedom in his life.

Reminded that the former president had at a number of times claimed to have been abused in prison by him, Al-Mustapha said: “You can see during Oputa panel, he refused to show up. Up till today, he has never agreed to meet me personally,” he said.

SEE What Addiction To Computer Game Is Doing To Klint

Addiction of any kind is a big problem as it makes it victims lose focus on critical issues if not checked:

According to report, an Abuja based Church, Christos International Church, is angry with comedian Klint Da Drunk for not showing up to anchor its empowerment programme after the church paid him N250,000 as an upfront. The church said Klint was given a part payment of N250,000 to anchor the said programme but he failed to show up.

In his defence, the comedian is claiming that the church gave him a wrong date of 23rd March, 2014, instead of the actual date of 22nd March, 2014. But the church leaders said it's not possible because they gave his other colleagues, Frank Edwards and Asu Ekiye, who were present at the programme, a correct date.

So, what is happening to Klint? Those close to him say he's addicted to Computer Game too much...
His friends who are now doing well and living a decent life as entertainers say Klint is a good comedian and that he would have achieved better things with his career, if not for his unserious behaviour and addiction of all kinds of video games.

They said he prefers to play Computer Games instead of honouring appointments that could earn him cash.

Now the church is threatening to arrest him if he fails to return their N250,000 immediately.

Caught In Séx Scandal: Rev. Fr. "Doing It" With Married Woman

It's things like this that is making some people encourage polygamy because most of the men who pretend that séxual feelings is nothing to them often end up doing worst things in secret. Why not do this thing legitimately and live in peace, rather than claim to be holy but you are doing it in secret? It doesn't make sense.

The story circulating about one Mrs Nneka Chimaobi who lives with her husband at Agulu in Idemili North of Anambra State and a lady simply identified as Miss Amala from Ogidi also of the same Idemili North over who will be in enjoying the "juice" of the Rev. Fr. of St. Augustine Catholic Church is very shameful.

According to reports, competent sources within the leadership cadre in the Catholic Church reveal that Rev. Fr. Celestine Chigbo who hails from Ogbunike got himself enmeshed in the séxcapade when he started eating the "honey pot" of Mrs. Chimaobi before she got married. Funny enough, because of the sweetness, the Parish Priest refused to stop "doing it" with the woman, who is now married...
Anyway, trouble ensued when the Reverend Father ate the "honey pot" of another lady, Miss Amala and fell in love with her. He still invited the married woman to the Parish House, until both ladies started suspecting.

“Each time Mrs. Nneka and Amala meets at the Parish Priest house, they will engage each other in a fight. This lasted for a long time until the attention of the Holy Ghost Reverend Father, Rev. Fr. Gbuzue of Mountain Solution Adoration Ministry’s was drawn to matter”, said a competent source.

The Chairlady of Catholic Women Organization, CWO, of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Mrs. Uzodinma was alleged to have tried to resolve the séx matter without success. The CWO chairwoman – after having failed to resolve the matter recommended for the suspension of both Mrs. Nneka Chimaobi and Miss. Amala from the Church.

On how the dirty scandal got to the public, it was gathered that on January 31, 2014, Mrs. Nneka Chimaobi was alleged to have slépt overnight inside the Parish Priest’s inner room and in the morning of the 31st, the clergy allegedly left Nneka in his bedroom to conduct morning mass and after given Holy Communion, he rushed back to continue "things". But before he got home, Miss. Amala had visited probably on the instigation of one of the servants in the Parish House.

On noticing that Mrs. Chimaobi was already in the bedroom, Miss Amala faced the married woman in a fight to finish. Things got out of hand at this point as the mess was exposed to others who didn't know about it.

Here's What The Police Has To Say About Oberese Rapé Saga

The truth is finally out. Ladies who go about looking for rich guys to blackmail and make cheap money should in all intent and purpose learn from the case of Ms Olanike Olaiya and save themselves the shame.

Lagos State Police Spokesperson, Mrs Ngozi Braide said Ms Nike, who accused popular musician Obesere of rapé is a blackmailer and extortionist. She said they both agreed they had ca'nal knowledge of each other but Nike was only trying to blackmail the singer afterwards. Below is the police position:
"As far as we're concerned, and based on the investigations carried out so far on the matter, most of the allegations by Obesere's accuser, Olanike Olaiya were fabricated. Although, they both admitted having canal knowledge of each other, there was absolutely nothing to show that Nike was raped as she claimed. It was a frame-up because the lady has refused to honour police invitation
And the doctor's report available to us has shown that she was not raped. We're made to understand that this lady on her own went to Obesere's house in search of Obesere, that she spent the nights there. She was there cooking and everybody in the house ate...
People in that house have equally made statements. I think there was a mutual relationship between the two of them. Nike is a 29 year old lady, a divorcee. I think during the period she was in the house, they had canal knowledge of each other, and she left him after which she went to the station to allege that she was raped. I think there was a case of mutual relationship between both parties as well as extortion attempt.

Before she went to make such allegations, she had already contacted Obesere on phone to demand certain amount that she was bleeding and so on. Obesere now invited her to a hospital. The doctor examined her and he didn't see anything abnormal. And they said for further clarification, she should go for scan. She left and never returned to the hospital."
In his reaction to the development, Obesere said:
"I thank God I have been vindicated by the outcome of the investigations so far conducted by the police. What's next is to enter the studio for my next album. I thank God and that people have identified with me so far. I am very sure the police will soon get to the root of the matter.
