SHOCKING AND STRANGE: These Nigerian Communities Worship Giant Pythons As their Gods

As odd as it may sound to people who aren't familiar with any other religion apart from Christianity or Islam, there are communities in Nigeria that place snakes as their gods.

An example of such communities where residents still regard python as one of their gods is Mgbidi, the headquarters of Oru West local government area of Imo State. Mgbidi is made up of eleven communities including Imeoha, Eziali, Umuekwe, Okwudor , Umuorji, Umuokpara, Umuehi , Umuabiahu, Uziaumu , Ihitte and Ugbele.

In a chat with one of the priests who identified himself as Ngozi Obiwuru, he boasted that no amount of civilization can change that part of their culture; worshipping of python. “Several churches have come to deliver this community but have failed to stop the worship of snakes. I used to be a Christian before my father whom I inherited this job from died. I had to relocate to the village and learn the traditions of our people.

“If you mistakenly kill a snake, you will simply appease the gods or face the consequences. There was a particular case, the man called all kinds of pastors to pray for his family, at the end of the day he came to me and performed the sacrifice. It dawned on him that it was not a joke when his three kids died mysteriously.
“Several churches have been advised to stay away from that part of our religion. We welcome the fact that they have brought a lot of development in our area, but the fact remains that no one can force us to abandon what we believe in.”

To appease the gods, Obiwuru said: “It is very simple. The individual will buy a white coffin, white cock, goat and will come to the shrine for sacrifice. The coffin will be used to bury the snake. These snakes do not bite anyone; it is a sign of blessing if it chooses to visit your family at night.   It is an honour to have a god in your home, just as the Christians rejoice when they spot an angel in their homes.

“One of my close relatives tried it. He came back from the city, and told me that he has just finished seven days fasting. To try the potency of his prayers, he said would kill as many pythons as he could lay his hands on. He actually went to the bush to find one. Today, my brother is dead and buried and no one can explain what happened to him.”

Just as he claimed that python is a sacred animal, Obiwuru also warned visitors to steer clear of Obana River. “It is a taboo for an indigene or visitor to kill a fish in the river.  If a visitor unknowingly takes it away, he or she will not be affected.

Fire Razes FGC Hostel in Kazaure

Raging fire on Saturday burnt students' hostel in the Federal Government College (FGC), Kazaure, in Jigawa.
Mr Muhammad Gidado, Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa, told newsmen that the inferno razed down the hostel completely.
Although he did not adduce any reason for the fire outbreak, the commandant said it took fire men more than one hour to put it out so that it did not spread to other buildings.
``It took more than one hour for the NSCDC, police, fire fighters and staff of the college to put out the fire and rescue the students’’, he said.
Gidado advised people to be extra careful when using fire.

Simple Guide To Painless Sex For Virgin Couples

This article discusses what spouses who are virgins need to keep in mind before having sex. Not just sex, but a pain-free and memorable experience for both. I believe this will help ease the anxiety and improve the pleasure.

When couples are ready for sex for the first time, the excitement may be so overpowering. On the other hand, it’s very easy to also allow anxiety to take over because for most ladies, one of the most stressful worries is the pain associated with first time sex.  This is when a lady wonders in apprehension what it will be like: Will it hurt? How much does it hurt? Why do ladies bleed? Would I bleed? Will I enjoy it? Am I going to have orgasm? How does an orgasm feel?

The truth of the matter is that many ladies don’t feel any pain at all the first time they have sexual intercourse. Very few ladies actually experience pain that is unbearable. And if you experience any pain at all while having sex for the first time, the pain may be similar to a pinprick. The psychological trauma of imagining how much it would hurt is almost always a lot worse than the actual pain many ladies feel. Also while having sex for the first time, there may be spotting or bleeding because of the tear in the hymen. How much you bleed depends on the size and thickness of your hymen. But if you bleed, you may just notice a bit of spotting on your bed or at times, something that resembles your period stain on the sheets. The hymen could tear for several reasons like vigorous exercises, aerobics, energetic dances or even while getting fingered. So for such ladies, the hymen may not be a sign of virginity, but sexual intercourse. After having sex for the first time, you may continue to bleed a little over a few days. But if you see anything more than a bit of spotting in your underwear or scant traces when you pee, speak to someone you trust in the family or get in touch with your doctor. Few brides who have sex for the first time could experience some soreness for a day or two. It’s natural to feel a bit sore just like you would after a good workout.

The virgin groom on the other hand will also wonder what it will be like. Will I satisfy her? Will I have erection? Am I impotent? Am I a real man? Can I be a father? The best thing to do is to relax and have a loving attitude towards your bride. Do not make it mandatory to have sex or practise all the expert methods that same night.

Start off by helping each other to undress and give room for both of you to refresh yourselves with a good bath. This is necessary to calm you down after the stress of the wedding ceremony you have both gone through. The physical, mental and spiritual exhaustion might affect you negatively if not well handled. It is, therefore, very important to be in a relaxed mood and not compulsorily focus your mind on sex for the night. You still have all other nights to yourselves.  Then just relax and do not look too serious. At this point, you both should chat, say something sweet and romantic to each other. This should be done more by the groom to relax the bride the more. The same goes to the bride, do not appear as a saintly prey and the man as the merciless predator. Give your husband a reassuring look of acceptance and approval. After taking a bath, which you both can have together, change into something comfortable and lovely. The bride should change into something sweet, irresistible, transparent and seductive, preferably a new lacy bra and undies with a good body perfume. The bride just has to smell very good. The groom likewise should change into a good pyjamas, make use of a good perfume, after-shave and comb his hair neatly.

PHOTOS: I Attract A Lot Of Traffic And Men Just Cant Keep Their Eyes Off Me - Popular Singer

Like her father, Ras Kimono, Oge Kimono speaks in a blend of patois and English and sometimes you have to strain your ears to capture all she has to say. And she’s one girl who stands out in the crowd.

Ever since the act known as Oge Kimono dropped her debut single last year, she has never looked back as she has continued to grow from strength to strength. She recently shot the video of her single, Drum and Base due to popular demand and Oge couldn’t stop talking about her music career.
See excerpts of her interview below as she speaks on her music and appeal;“The single’s entitled Drum and Base, it was released early last year, sometime in March and I did a couple of promotions and got massive airplay across Nigeria. So I felt the video was overdue because my fans are all over me for a video. I worked with a renowned music video director called AJE Filmworks.

“We shot scenes in places as far away as Togo but most of the scenes were shot in Festac Town, Lagos, because of the colours; we wanted bright reggae colours which depict the real Jamaican dance hall feel and it was wow!”
“I’m Nigerian but I’m more into reggae music. Yes, reggae music has its root and origin in Jamaica but we also have our African reggae as well. I just bring the two together and blend them in a unique way. Don’t forget I’m from a reggae family as well and my father has been influencing me; I mean da lion is still influencing da I,”.
Oge says that men find her irresistible due to her light complexion and that could be a big temptation. But thanks to her dad’s advice which has helped get her out of trouble with the opposite sex.

“As a young lady you’ll have men hitting on you all the time. I’m light skinned and I attract a lot of traffic; guys just can’t get their eyes off me and I understand they are just human so I don’t let it go to my head. When guys make passes at me I hear Daddy’s voice come screaming from the background and I’m like ‘okay Oge Kimono, you’ve gotta watch yourself.’”
“Fortunately I’ve not encountered that.I think it could have a lot to do with how you relate with people. When I meet producers for the first time I try to make them my friends. I don’t bore them with tales of how I want to blow overnight in music.
“When they see desperation in you, thats when they come after you.  I’m not desperate for fame. I’m doing music because I love music; I’ve never had that challenge.”

How To Talk To A Girl You Like For The First Time

how to approach a girl for the first time How To Talk To A Girl You Like For The First Time
Maybe you have seen a girl around, and you have been dreaming of just going up and talking to her. However, approaching someone for the first time is nerve-wracking in most instances; add your new crush into the mix, and you might be a bumbling mess. Sometimes, though, the result is infinitely worth the risk.
1. Make eye contact. Spend a few days catching her gaze every now and then. Don’t just stare at her, though; instead, shoot her small glances until your eyes meet and she catches you. When she does, smile slightly and look away after a second. You’ll probably blush as well, which is all the better – blushing indicates you’re nervous, which is a hint that you like her.2.  Time it right. When you do talk to her, pick a time that’s convenient. Don’t try to get her attention when she’s obviously involved in something else, and try to have a bit of privacy – you don’t have to be completely alone, but her attention shouldn’t be too distracted.
Make the interaction extra casual (and put a time limit on it) by talking to her while you’re both walking somewhere else. If you walk to a class at the same time as her, or you start walking the same way home, this is a great opening.
3.  Start with a compliment. Paying a girl the right compliment makes your intentions clear right away – she’ll know instantly that you’re interested in being more than her friend. Here are some things to consider:
Know how to deliver a compliment. Even the best compliment in the world will fall flat if your delivery is off. Keep a half smile as you talk – it will make you naturally add appealing inflection to your voice. (Try this trick out when you answer the phone sometime and see if you notice a difference.) Maintain eye contact with her, and keep the tones of your voice up, but lower the actual volume – speaking softly immediately communicates intimacy, and it can make her instinctively lean in closer to hear you. If this all sounds a bit difficult, practice it in front of a mirror first.
As anyone who’s ever had a stalker can tell you, there’s a fine but definite line between flattering and creepy. With this in mind, choose your compliment wisely. Saying something like “You always look amazing in that shirt” can come off as weird if you don’t know her well, and implies that you watch her. (Even if you do, it’s best not to spill that information immediately.) Instead, opt for something general but cute, such as “Your smile is glowing today. What’s making you so happy?” or “I thought what you said in class earlier was really interesting.” A good compliment should naturally lead to more conversation, instead of just hanging awkwardly in the air after you say it.
Know what to avoid. If you’re going to pay a girl a compliment about her physical looks, stick to her eyes, smile or hair. Do not comment on her body otherwise, especially on the first interaction.
If you want to play it extra safe, pick something you already know she’s proud of. For instance, if you know she’s a dedicated violinist, say something like, “I’ve heard you’re an amazing musician,” and use it as a way to ask her some questions about it.
4. Keep the conversation moving. You might be tempted to stop talking and just stare at this girl, but don’t let your nerves get the best of you. Allowing a long lull in the conversation will make things feel awkward.5. Instead, have a mental list of backup questions you can use if you stumble on an uncomfortable pause.
Ask about what she thinks of a shared homework assignment or an upcoming event. Asking for her opinion communicates that you care about what she thinks, and see her as more than just an object.
Use the conversation to find out more about her, but be subtle. For instance, if you want to find out if she already has a boyfriend, you could casually ask, “So, anything fun planned with your boyfriend for the weekend?” If she doesn’t have one and she’s interested in you, she’ll let you know immediately.
Ask open-ended questions. For instance, instead of saying “So, have anything fun planned for the break?” (which can be answered with a short “yes” or “no”), say “What are you going to do to keep busy while school is out?” A question that requires a detailed response is always better to keep a conversation flowing.
6. Make her laugh (optional). If you’re sure you’ve got a joke she’ll appreciate, give it a shot. The goal is to show her you have an engaging sense of humor, but you don’t want to come off as desperate or cheesy.
If possible, crack a joke about the current situation or something you both saw happen. Situational humor is more meaningful than a joke you read online.
Don’t tell a dirty joke. It’s not appropriate for a first conversation, and it might give her the wrong impression.
If she doesn’t get the joke, don’t explain it to her unless she asks. Just move on quickly with a new point of conversation.
Good humor is really attractive, but bad humor is a complete turn off. If you can’t think of a joke that makes sense with the situation at hand, leave it alone.
7. Close the conversation early. Follow that old saying – “Always leave them wanting more.” Find a way to gracefully duck out of the conversation before it goes stale. Good luck!

Leading actor John Dumelo
Leading Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo is certainly a happy man.
For one, not only has the hunky actor broken even in recent years with a string of hit movies, he also emerged Best Actor at the just concluded Ghana Movie Awards.
But that's not the only reason why he's happy. At the last episode of the Ovation Red Carol, Mr Dumelo was sitted beside the bodacious Sandra Ankobiah who presented quiet the 'view' in her scoop-necked red dress and from the look of things, John was definitely attracted.
The actor wittily posted on his Instagram page: "The centre of attraction can mean so many things....

California Allows First-Ever State Recognized Human-Animal Marria

ge ... NationalReport

San Francisco, CA — On Monday history was made at the Chapel of Our Lady at the Presidio in San Francisco as the first-ever state recognized human-animal marriage took place.
Local resident 35-year-old Paul Horner was the groom during the ceremony. Joining him was his faithful dog Mac who is 36-years-old in dogyears. Mac also decided to be the groom but ended up wearing a white veil at the last moment...

Father McHale who officiated the outdoor wedding told reporters he was extremely happy to be a part of this joyous moment of life. “This is the definition of true love my friends. There is nothing more sacred than the bond between a man and his faithful dog,” McHale said. “Now, since it is recognized as a legally binding marriage in the state of California, Mr. Horner and Mac will have all the same tax benefits and everything else coming to them that a regular married couple would receive. It’s a fantastic day to be alive!”

So how could this have happened?

In the book of California’s State Laws and Regulations there is a little known law that was passed as the state was first forming in 1850. According to article 155, paragraph 10, it clearly states:

If a man and a man can get married and a woman and a woman can get married, if ever comes that day, then a human and animal will have the exact same rights to marriage in every eye of the law. God help us if this ever is to happen!

In attendance was Horner’s entire family who flew in from Hawaii to witness the event. Mac had her puppies on hand and making a special celebrity appearance was Alex from Stroh’s and Spuds Mckenzie.
“I just love my Mac so much, I can’t wait till we can finally get back to the honeymoon sweet in Montana where bestiality is legal. Gosh, get with the times California! We can marry here just fine, but love making is a big no-no,” said Horner. “People keep asking me why I wanted to marry a dog. I told them I just want the same god given rights that every person in California is allowed to have. Don’t tell me I can’t marry my dog. I don’t tell you that you can’t marry a 500 lb woman with gas issues. That’s your decision. Don’t tread on me. I love my dog and I know he loves me a hundred times more than any gay wedding out there.”

With this wedding between a man and a male dog now on the books, one can only ask what is in store next?

A man marrying a toaster? A toaster marrying a dog? A toaster marrying a toaster?

Cool FM’s Freeze says Michael Kors is ‘loud, ugly and cheap’

Cool FM's Freeze

Cool FM‘s Freeze is not a big fan of popular US designer collection Michael Kors.
While responding to a question about which designers he wouldn’t be caught wearing, Freeze told Ademola Olonilua of Punch Newspapers it’d definitely NOT be Micheal Kors, describing the brand as ‘loud, ugly and cheap’.
I am sorry but I just think that brand is so razz. First their name, I think their name is so razz. Not exactly the name, it is the brand, all you have for the logo is MK. Their products are loud, ugly and cheap‘, Freeze said.
He further described the high end brand as always coming second place to other top brands;
I see someone wearing a Michael Kors watch and I see it as they are trying so hard to wear Rols gold. ‘I can’t afford that so the next thing is to pick up Michael Kors’ I would rather take equally priced designer but with a bit more class and less noise. I would never be caught wearing that‘, he added.
And which kind of designers does Freeze love to wear, he says ‘Designers I like are Tom Ford, Gucci, I love LV shoes that are not monogrammed. I like Hermes; I think that is a really brilliant designer. I like the fact that they play with orange a lot‘.
