Why Nigerians Are Refused UK Visas
Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr Dalhatu Sarki Tafida, has explained that many Nigerians are refused UK visas because they do not apply in good time.
Speaking in London during a courtesy visit on him by the Minister for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, the High Commissioner lamented that most Nigerian visa applicants normally leave it very late before applying, and may not meet the requirements for the visa within the short time.
He said the situation was also the same with British-Nigerians who apply for Nigerian visas, disclosing that “99 per cent of their applications fall within the category of urgent or emergency visas”.
Dr Tafida who was responding to a complaint by a member of the Minister’s delegation that the UK often refuses visas even to top Nigeria government officials said the UK’s visa policy was “generous” compared with other countries.
“We should be fair to the UK. If you meet the criteria, you get UK visa. The UK gives visas for six months and up to ten years. Some countries give visas for just four days”, he said, and urged applicants to always start the visa process in good time and endeavour to meet the stipulated requirements to avoid last minute disappointment.
Earlier in his remarks, the Minister, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki said he and his delegation were in the UK to meet with operators, regulators and agents of the National Lottery with a view to imbibing their methods and strategies to improve the operations of the Nigeria National Lottery.
He explained that the meetings followed directives by President Goodluck Jonathan that the operations of the National Lottery be overhauled to ensure transparency, inspire confidence and create conducive atmosphere so that the Lottery would be run “in tandem with the global practices”
Should i call Off The Engagement Due To Bad Sex? Please help!!! -
Hi guys :
Please don’t crucify me!! My boyfriend proposed to me on Christmas in front of his sisters and it was the best day of my life.
From that day forward we have been living together to know the true person. Anyways long story short the in between the sheets is horrible and he won’t use his mouth. The longest he has lasted is 5minutes and he has to stop himself every few seconds so he won’t release.
To make matters worse yesterday morning we started fore play and he tried something new (I only know it was new to him because he was doing it wrong and I had to tell him to use oil kmt!) he tried putting it between my boosm.
Any who 6 strokes tops and he was done! It’s now the next morning and he hasn’t even attempted to make it up to me. How do I go about calling off the engagement he just won’t accept it when I have tried before. Do I call his sisters Help!!
To make matters worse there is never a second round NEVER!! If I try blow him he says it tickles even tickles when I kiss his ears WTF!! The only thing that keeps me is the fact that my one year old daughter that is not his is calls him daddy it’s the only father she knows of her biological dad is an a**
So the big question now is how do I go about talking to him I am so nervous I don’t want to crush his ego just want to cum don’t want to satisfy myself cause that’s a sin I think….. Sigh how do I tell the man I live that it isn’t good enough?? I tell you if I try get him up for a second round he giggles and says his joy stick tickles….. If it helps he is Igbo from IMO state ……. -

Guys, Listen And Learn: 5 Ways To Make Women Chase You
Are you tired of running after women and want them to chase you instead? Read on...
If you’re standing at a party using cheesy pick-up lines, you’ll never master the skills. Stop before your embarrass yourself. Work instead on your confidence and sense of mystery. Be the tall dark stranger at the bar and not the prattling teenager to build the tension that attracts women.
2. Build mystique
When you meet a woman or are introduced to her, don’t start off by telling her every little detail about your childhood. Again, build the mystery; don’t tell her your name until she asks you and offer no further information until inquired. Harness the power of ‘maybe’ when she alludes to future plans or interests instead of gushing to please.
3. Hone the humour
Women look for humour, and it’s a great facade to hide behind. While she’s laughing uproariously, she’s also plotting ways to meet you more and get to know you better. Dry, perceptive wit is a sure winner.
4. Mind the games
Notice how the unattainable is the most desirable. Play hard to get by declining first advances and invitations and don’t pick up every call. Take longer to reply to texts, making her ache for you.
5. Thought counts
Every girl likes to treated like a princess, but the anticipation makes it better. Before buying her roses, send her little texts like “thinking of you” or “wish you were here” so that she knows she’s in your thoughts.
I have a $200,000 wristwatch collection" - Freeze Coolfm
In an interview with Saturday Punch, popular On-Air-Personality and event host, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Freeze CoolFM talked about his $200k (N32million) watch collection, his dislike for Michael Kors and said some Nigerian celebs wear fake designer items. Excerpts below...
When you say a collection, how many are you talking about? Not like how many, like how much. I have maybe $200,000 in wristwatches. What I am wearing now is a Rolex Daytona, I got it from Polo for Christmas. It cost about $30,000. Polo is Nigeria’s only authorised dealer, so I bought it from the company and I love it. I love pens too. Sometimes I could just be like a woman. I love things that shine but not all the time. I like cufflinks, pens but I am not the necklace or a bracelet kind of guy. Though I wear bracelets once in a while; so I like my cufflinks, pens and wristwatches, any attire that would show them off, I am good with it. Continue...
What wouldn’t you be caught wearing?
Michael Kors. I am sorry but I just think that brand is so razz. First their name, I think their name is so razz. Not exactly the name, it is the brand, all you have for the logo is MK. Their products are loud, ugly and cheap. I see someone wearing a Michael Kors watch and I see it as they are trying so hard to wear Rols gold. I can’t afford that so the next thing is to pick up Michael Kors. I would rather take equally priced designer but with a bit more class and less noise. I would never be caught wearing that. Designers I like are Tom Ford, Gucci, I love LV shoes that are not monogrammed. I like Hermes; I think that is a really brilliant designer. I like the fact that they play with orange a lot.
What is your take on celebrities posting photos of their expensive fashion items on their social media accounts?
First thing first, for all the entertainers putting up pictures of their accessories on Instagram, can they please tweet the receipt from an authorised dealer. Trust me, I have seen too many celebs wear fake stuffs. You can tell that they don’t know what they are wearing. Of course, there are a few brand names like D’banj, Don Jazzy, P-Square or Wizkid that would not wear fake. I have seen them wear good watches. But there are some other people who I have seen wear funny looking pieces. There was one particular musician that I saw wearing a Rolex and the gold was fading. Rolex never uses gold plates, they use pure gold. If you see anything gold on a Rolex, it is pure gold. When I saw that, I was disappointed at the musician, especially because of the level of respect I had for the musician. There is no such thing like buying a Rolex with a credit card. You can’t buy a Rolex with a credit card; who are you? Diddy? For you to be able to walk away with a £20,000 watch, you would have a substantial amount of money in that card

Revealed: Islam Believes Jesus is coming Back —Imam Saheed
The Imam of Federal College of Technology, Yaba Mosque, Imam Saeed Salmon has revealed that Islam also believes in the second coming of Jesus Christ, emphasising that any Muslim who does not believe in it is not a true follower of the teachings of Prophet Muhammed.
“The second coming of Jesus Christ is a doctrine that every Muslim must believe. The teachings of prophet Muhammed talks extensively about this.
"The Qua’ ran Chapter 4:157-159 teaches this but the teachings of Islam does not support that Jesus was killed or resurrected, rather, he was raised by Almighty Allah to his majesty.
“Jesus is coming again to refute the claim of the Jews that he was crucified and to correct the doctrine of the Christians that he is the son of God...
"Again, the second coming of Jesus is to establish that there is a close relationship between Prophet Muhammed and Jesus himself.”Salmon, who made this known at a special lecture held at the Lagos Central Mosque, Tinubu, said, Jesus is a messenger of God and claimed that Christ would return to a mosque in Damascus.
The Chief host and organiser of the lecture, Amir Ajala Kamardeen noted that he is under the obligation as a true Muslim to educate the public and to correct any misconception about Islam.
But why will our Lord Jesus Christ return to a mosque in Damascus?

Starved, tortured then throttled: The true horror of how Assad’s soldiers execute rebel prisoners is revealed in new images
- WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT
- A second cache of photos of victims of torture has been released
- Taken by man tasked with 'recording deaths in custody' by Syrian regime
- Total of 55,000 photos which lawyers say are evidence of extreme torture
- Could be used to bring charges of war crimes against Bashar al-Assad
More photographs showing the maimed bodies of alleged victims of ‘systematic killings’ in Syrian prisons have been released today.
The second cache of photos paints an even clearer image of the horrendous conditions and gruesome torture in government-run jails in Syria.
The images, some of the 55,000 leaked by a witness ‘tasked with recording deaths in custody’, were taken between 2011 and 2013.
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT
Shocking: A second set of pictures from the 55,000 photograph dossier showing alleged victims of torture and systematic killings in government-run prisons in Syria has been released
Murder: The corpses are said to all be members of rebel forces who have been kept in Syrian jail by al-Assad's military police
The second release echoes warnings from human right's experts earlier this week that the first set of images only showed the tip of the iceberg.
The pictures were smuggled out of Syria by a military police photographer, who has been saving the files over two years, and handed to the opposition.

When the first photographs were released earlier this week, they were described as 'clear evidence' of crimes against humanity by a team of war crimes prosecutors.
They show emaciated corpses with strangulation marks, cuts, bruising and signs of electrocution – evidence of extreme torture, claim investigators. Some victims are shown to have had their eyes removed.
The photographer served as a military police officer for 13 years, and was assigned the duty of documenting the dead bodies brought to the military hospitals controlled by the Syrian regime during the civil war.
The person who leaked the photographs says he was a part of the Syrian military police for 13 years and it was his job to photograph dead bodies brought to military hospitals from government jails
Proof of war crimes: The photos were all taken during the Syrian civil war, between 2011 and 2013, and smuggled out of the country
Stomach turning: The bodies are all lined up, side by side, before their injuries are documented, allegedly by Syrian government forces
True evil: This horrific photo shows a man who shirt is covered in blood, with a rusty chain embedded into his stomach
The bodies depicted in the photographs are all said to be members of rebel groups killed in detention under torture and starvation.
They show handwritten notes by on the faces and the bodies of the corpses, and allegedly used by the Syrian army as the records of death sentence enforcements, carried out systematically in government-run prisons.
On Tuesday Foreign Secretary William Hague, as well as the U.S. government, condemned the crimes shown in the photographs, and demanded that the perpetrators be brought to justice.
Mr Hague described the images as 'compelling and horrific', and said: 'It is important those who have perpetrated these crimes are one day held to account.'
A spokesman from the U.S. State Department said: 'These reports suggest widespread and apparently systematic violations by the regime. These most recent images ... are extremely disturbing. They're horrible to look at.'
