Dangote woos Ibeju-Lekki indigines with cash & cars to release land for his refinery project



Billionaire businessman and Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote in company of the Lagos state Governor, Babatunde Fashola was at the Ibeju-Lekki axis of Lagos yesterday Sunday Feb. 9th to woo the inhabitants of the community to give up their lands which is expected to be used to develop Dangote's proposed Refinery and Petrochemical Project, which is one of the Lagos Free Trade Zone Projects.

According to Sahara Reporters, cars and cash gifts were used to lure the people which they refused  but was accepted by their village heads. Last week the state government had tried using the police and other security agencies to evict the people from the land which they resisted. See more photos after the cut...
