Iniesta: Barcelona will tame Manchester city

Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta says that Barcelona needs to be at their best as they prepare to face an inform Manchester City side in champions league round of 16 fixture.
The attacking midfielder acknowledged City’s amazing scoring form under new manger Manuel Pellegrini but feels strongly that the Catalan giants will go through into the next phase of the competition as they have got more experience.
Iniesta was part of the Barcelona team that won the Champions league in 2009 and 2011 against English champions Manchester united and believes that the team draws a lot of confidence from that as they hope to win the Champions league after they were disgracefully knocked out last year by current holders Bayern Munich managed by former Gaffer Pep Guadiola.
“Of course we have been watching Manchester City’s results – and they have been very impressive. They seem to be able to score 4 or 5 goals with ease past teams – and not just any teams – but some of the best teams in England. They have strength in attack and all over the field – but they won’t score 4 or 5 against us.
Aguero Dzeko and Negredo: City’s danger men
“We know we have two very tough games coming up against them – but at the same time we will be a challenge for them like they haven’t experienced this season. We will need to be at our best – but there is a real confidence in Barcelona that this can be a season where we can win silverware at all levels,” Iniesta told reporters at a press conference.
Iniesta and his Barcelona teammates have one less headache going into that game as Manchester City will miss the services of top scorer Sergio Aguero for the first leg tie on Tuesday 18 February, 2014 due to injury and the striker faces a race to be fit on time for the second leg on Wednesday 12 March, 2014.
